This sermon is a follow-up to the sermon “The Continued Egalitarian Attack upon Holy Scripture.” Why does the acceptance of egalitarianism often lead to the acceptance of homosexuality? Because when you embrace the novel and perverted hermeneutic of the egalitarians – you’re embracing the very same hermeneutic employed by the so-called “Christian homosexuals.” This sermon examines and repudiates the hermeneutic of both. There is much Scripture and history in this sermon. In closing, the sermon makes a defense for the created order of God. The sermon points out that for 1900+ years all of Christianity stood four-square against egalitarianism, birth control and homosexuality. But now, in the last 75 years, Christianity has accommodated itself to all three. MercySeat.net 54 min.

The Crumbling Rule of Law in America – Pt. 2
This sermon picks up where The Crumbling Rule of Law in America sermon ended. It answers the question – How are we to conduct ourselves and what should be our response when the State makes law contrary to the law of God? This sermon is loaded with history, and destroys the current popular belief that we owe unlimited obeisance to the State. This sermon is a barnburner. This sermon will deepen your respect for the law of God. 37 min. MercySeat.net

The Continued Egalitarian Attack Upon Holy Scripture
God is our Father. The Bible reveals Him as such and refers to Him as such repeatedly. But there is a move afoot (and has been for nearly 40 years now) to remove all reference to God’s maleness; to make Him at least gender-neutral; and for some to even make Him feminine –to refer to Him as ‘Our Mother.’ There is and has been a huge push in American Christianity towards egalitarianism. Egalitarianism believes there should be no distinctions between male and female. That there are no roles or functions unique to males or females – and the advocates of this belief are willing to distort, attack and change Scripture in order to try and make this belief seem Christian.
This sermon looks at many passages of Scripture. It also looks at the writings of many leading “evangelical egalitarians” and their attempts to redefine God as “Our Mother.” This sermon was preached on Father’s Day, June 19th, 2011. MercySeat.net 43 min.

The Bane of Pietism Upon American Society
American Christianity is rooted in Pietism. Pietism can be directly linked to America’s moral decay. In fact, the collapse of the Christian West is the result of this pietistic form of Christianity. Pietism says that Christianity only impacts and affects our personal life. Pietism believes that Christianity was not intended to impact nations, nor do they believe the moral Law of God has any place in the governance of society. This sermon is not by any means a comprehensive look at the impact of Pietism upon society, but rather designed to just wet your appetite for further thought and study. MercySeat.net 49 min.

The Historic Christian Doctrine of Hell
Does HELL exist? Many down through history have tried to deny its existence, and American society is no different. Just Google the word ‘hell’ and you will see just how hell-bent many are to try and disprove its existence. Now some within Christendom are denying or doubting its existence. This sermon sets forth from Scripture the truth that hell does in fact exist. This sermon rebuffs the semantic game many use to try and disprove hell, and looks at many passages where hell is discussed. MercySeat.net 53 min.

The Discipline of Men
This is a timely sermon for a lack-luster culture. Much history is shared, and many interesting points are made regarding the importance discipline plays in our lives – including the areas of the hours we keep for rising in the morning and retiring in the evening; our work; and reading/studying. Special emphasis is made upon the fact that the greatest strength of an army is its discipline – with application made to the Lord’s army. Starts a little slow – but then – fasten your seatbelts. 42 min. MercySeat.net

An Exegetical Eschatology – The Mt. Olivet Discourse
The popular eschatology of our day does not stand up to scrutiny when examined by the Word of God. In this sermon, Pastor Matt is able to present a view which takes the popular view to task. This sermon is important because what we believe theologically affects how we govern our lives – and this is true of eschatology. The present popular eschatology has neutralized the Church, and our nation – and more importantly Christ’s kingdom – is reaping the bad fruit of a 150 years of this abherrant teaching. This sermon goes through the Mt. Olivet discourse by going through Mark 13 verse by verse. Are the things spoken of by Christ in this passage yet future as many proclaim, or have they already taken place? Listen to the evidence given – and decide for yourself. MercySeat.net 71 min.

JESUS: HUMAN & DIVINE
The orthodox teaching about the nature of Christ is that Jesus was fully man – fully human, while here on earth, and yet, He was fully God – fully divine. The Crumbling Rule of Law in America
For nearly 1500 years the ‘rule of law’ in Western Civilization was the Law of God. Now western man has thrown off the Law of God. The State now defines what the ‘rule of law’ is in Western Civilization. The State gets to make it up as it goes. The result is ‘good’ being called ‘evil’ and ‘evil’ being called ‘good.’ People are confused and anarchy and chaos lie at the door. This sermon examines the historical fact and importance of the ‘rule of law’ being based on God’s Law.
This sermon also reveals that the biggest culprit of God’s Law being thrown off by Western Man is Christianity.

God Gives Men Words
The false-love gospel first cut the gospel message in half by only talking about “love” and “believe” and refusing to talk about “sin”, “repent”, or “guilt before God.” Now they have decided NO words should be used. Their latest motto being – “Preach the gospel always, use words IF necessary.” When you remove the gospel message or cut it in half, the result is false converts which establishes false churches. When the false-love gospel first came on the scene about 20 years ago, it was condemned by churchmen everywhere. Now it is the prevalent form of Christianity in America. In this sermon, Pastor Matt shows how UN-biblical the false-love gospel is by looking at Scripture itself. 48 min. MercySeat.net

A Defense of the Crusades
Many false statements are being made about the Crusaders and the Crusades these days. No, Christian men didn’t just wake up in Europe one day and decide willy-nilly – “Let’s go attack the Muslims!” This sermon goes into actual history as to why the Crusades were originally called. History differs greatly from the politically-correct, one-sided, nonsense being shoved down Americans throats these days by so-called academic experts. THE BCE & CE VS. BC & AD CONTROVERSY
BCE is an acronym which stands for the words “Before the Common Era” which replaces the term (which has been used for centuries) BC which is an acronym for the words “Before Christ”.
CE is an acronym for the words “Common Era” which replaces the term (which has been used for centuries) AD which is an acronym for the words “in the year of our [the] Lord.”
I preached this sermon because certain Christ-haters – some nominal religionists and many statist/humanists – have an agenda to, through academia, replace BC with BCE and AD with CE. This sermon goes into their motivations and the importance of our contending with their efforts. Preached on November 6th, A.D. 2005.

An Election Sermon
Election sermons were preached from American pulpits for well over 100 years. The people were informed of the purpose, function, and limitations of the State. The pulpits of today have been totally derelict in their duty to do this, and election sermons are rarely preached. The end result is obvious when one surveys American politics today. This sermon is loaded with interesting history and biblical assertions.

The Ill Affects of Perpetual Adolescence on American Society
It is my contention that America breeds perpetual adolescence amongst its people. We are a nation of people that refuses to grow up.
I Corinthians 13:11 states “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
In this text, Paul is referring to a natural phenomenon to make a spiritual application. It is natural to grow up. To become mature. To no longer act and think like a child. To put those things away and embrace responsibility, maturity, manhood, womanhood. And so it should be when it comes to spiritual matters is Paul’s point. In America however, not only is spiritual immaturity a problem, but natural immaturity is a problem.
Though some are beginning to realize and write about the problem of ‘perpetual adolescence’ in American society, few are able to isolate the causes. In this sermon, we look at three great causes for this situation – education, economics, and eradication.

False Worship and Vain Prayer
When we do not do those things which are dear to God’s heart, our worship is false and our prayers are vain. This sermon is a sound rebuke to American Christianity. Short, but hard-hitting.
God’s Blueprint for Marriage
Most marriages, including many Christian marriages, are in utter disarray. Marriage in America has become a hologram, it has the appearance of marriage, but it’s a ghost. There’s no content within most marriages today. There’s a husband and father – but he does not know what his function or role is as such; there’s a wife and mother, but she is unsure what her function or role is as such; there’s even children, but there’s few of them – most are interested in killing their own sons or daughters through abortion, or only having one or two like you would a couple of goldfish or hamsters.
This sermon lays out the key to a biblical marriage as seen through our relationship with Christ.

Sexual Purity
Evangelist Jason Storms lays out the biblical precepts governing sexual behavior along with the strong warnings against sexual immorality. The second half of the sermon describes the wisdom of God’s plan for family and some practical thoughts on living pure and overcoming strongholds in ones life.
Election Sermon 2008 – The Bible & Women Magistrates
During this past election, Christians lined up behind Sarah Palin – a woman – for high public office. They ridiculed those who invoked Scripture to point out this was unbiblical. It would have been one thing if the Christians supporting her simply admitted they knew it was unbiblical and contrary to Scripture for her to be in office, but the threat of an Obama presidency was so awful they felt compelled to vote for her anyway. But that wasn’t the case. They actually wanted to change 2000 years of biblical interpretation and declare that it was biblically right for her to be in public office.
Such thinking shows how far egalitarianism has invaded the thinking of Christians in America. Christians actually think the paradigm or model of the world for how women are to live and function is better than God’s model as revealed by Holy Scripture. Hence, Christians proved their allegiance is not to the Word of God first, but to political expediency.
The Lesser Magistrate Doctrine
This sermon sets forth a little-known Christian doctrine, but one which is of huge importance for Christians, magistrates, and the people of our nation to understand. This doctrine stands as a check against tryanny in a nation. Given the dire state of our nation, that makes understanding this doctrine of paramount importance.

Tyrannicide
Tyrannicide is the act of killing a tyrant. Tyrannicide has a long and distinguished history in the epic of mankind. Many Christian men of old wrote of such matters, debated and discussed such matters, and even acted in regard to such matters. This sermon examines the treatise written in 1556 by churchman John Ponet. The title of his treatise is – A Short Treatise of Political Power and of the True Obedience which Subjects Owe to Kings and Other Civil Governors with an Exhortation to all True Natural Englishmen. The message of this sermon is crucial. Over 90% of men do not conduct family worship in their homes. They do not open the Word of God to their wife and children and instruct them in the faith.
