It is my contention that America breeds perpetual adolescence amongst its people. We are a nation of people that refuses to grow up.
I Corinthians 13:11 states “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
In this text, Paul is referring to a natural phenomenon to make a spiritual application. It is natural to grow up. To become mature. To no longer act and think like a child. To put those things away and embrace responsibility, maturity, manhood, womanhood. And so it should be when it comes to spiritual matters is Paul’s point. In America however, not only is spiritual immaturity a problem, but natural immaturity is a problem.
Though some are beginning to realize and write about the problem of ‘perpetual adolescence’ in American society, few are able to isolate the causes. In this sermon, we look at three great causes for this situation – education, economics, and eradication.

May 10th, 2009: This sermon is directed to fathers in a way which will benefit mothers. In fact, all – fathers, husbands, mothers, wives – will be benefitted by the biblical principles declared in this sermon. This sermon will help build family government in your home.
When we do not do those things which are dear to God’s heart, our worship is false and our prayers are vain. This sermon is a sound rebuke to American Christianity. Short, but hard-hitting.
Most marriages, including many Christian marriages, are in utter disarray. Marriage in America has become a hologram, it has the appearance of marriage, but it’s a ghost. There’s no content within most marriages today. There’s a husband and father – but he does not know what his function or role is as such; there’s a wife and mother, but she is unsure what her function or role is as such; there’s even children, but there’s few of them – most are interested in killing their own sons or daughters through abortion, or only having one or two like you would a couple of goldfish or hamsters.
This sermon lays out the key to a biblical marriage as seen through our relationship with Christ.

During this past election, Christians lined up behind Sarah Palin – a woman – for high public office. They ridiculed those who invoked Scripture to point out this was unbiblical. It would have been one thing if the Christians supporting her simply admitted they knew it was unbiblical and contrary to Scripture for her to be in office, but the threat of an Obama presidency was so awful they felt compelled to vote for her anyway. But that wasn’t the case. They actually wanted to change 2000 years of biblical interpretation and declare that it was biblically right for her to be in public office.
Such thinking shows how far egalitarianism has invaded the thinking of Christians in America. Christians actually think the paradigm or model of the world for how women are to live and function is better than God’s model as revealed by Holy Scripture. Hence, Christians proved their allegiance is not to the Word of God first, but to political expediency.
This sermon sets forth a little-known Christian doctrine, but one which is of huge importance for Christians, magistrates, and the people of our nation to understand. This doctrine stands as a check against tryanny in a nation. Given the dire state of our nation, that makes understanding this doctrine of paramount importance.

Tyrannicide is the act of killing a tyrant. Tyrannicide has a long and distinguished history in the epic of mankind. Many Christian men of old wrote of such matters, debated and discussed such matters, and even acted in regard to such matters. This sermon examines the treatise written in 1556 by churchman John Ponet. The title of his treatise is – A Short Treatise of Political Power and of the True Obedience which Subjects Owe to Kings and Other Civil Governors with an Exhortation to all True Natural Englishmen. The sermon examines one chapter of the treatise which is entitled – Whether it be Lawful to Depose an Evil Governor and Kill a Tyrant.
Christian Feminism theology has made deep inroads in American Christianity both in the academic and poplular realms. This sermon takes the exegetical and interpretive work of Christian Feminism theology to task. This is a no-holds barred sermon which leaves Christian Feminism theology bloodied and lying where it belongs – in the trash heap of heresy. This sermon covers much Scripture.

The message of this sermon is crucial. Over 90% of men do not conduct family worship in their homes. They do not open the Word of God to their wife and children and instruct them in the faith. The number one reason children fall away from the faith and/or Christian homes are in disarray is because family worship is not a part of the home. This sermon shows that family worship is biblical; that it was historically practiced by Christians down through the years; and gives practical guidelines for conducting family worship in your own home. 30 min.

Americans spend billions trying to look young. Our nation worships youthfulness. Rather than accept their estate in life, many elderly people spend their money trying to look younger than they really are. Rather than realizing that their time is running out on earth, they spend their money trying to change their appearance in an attempt to live in denial of the inevitable. This sermon addresses this penchant, and encourages us to understand that more sand in the bottom of the hour-glass should motivate us to live more fully for Christ. 27 min.
